"There is a difference between a decorator and a designer (Professor Kinkostein)."
This statement really made alot of sense to me today, it sparked a light bulb for me.
Most people would find it common sense and understand the difference between a decorator and a designer. However, this was not something I had ever thought about up until today.
A designer must put thought behind each detail and also, include meaning behind every design. Whereas, a decorator is alway focusing on the visual appearance.
A Designer would ask themselves... What is the meaning behind this or what does this detail convey?
Whereas, a Decorator would ask... How visually appealing is this design?
